What Is It?

A Strong Hold Gel for extra curl DEFINITION and control.


Do you want more control of your curly hair? POW Strong Hold Gel is your go-to for curl control.


Infused with Soothing Aloe Vera to calm your hard-to-manage mane. This strong-hold Curl gel uses plant proteins and camellia to seal in hydration and reduce frizz. It then locks your curls in position with its powerful active ingredients.

How To Use
  1. With dripping wet hair, SECTION your hair into quarters
  2. SQUEEZE a 20-50c amount into your hand and apply section by section pumping more product into your hand as required.
  3. Once the gel is applied, work through your curls with the Flexi-brush to ensure even distribution.
  4. RAKE your fingers through your clumps to create smaller consistent curls.
  5. Next, use your Curl Glove to remove the excess water by SQUISHING the curls into your cupped glove hand. You can add Chutzpah now for extra Volume & Texture.
  6. Once you have removed all the excess water with your Curl Glove, use your Volume+ Combs or Root Clips to set the volume. Diffuse dry or air dry.

I have shoulder length fine, grey hair. This product is gentle on my scalp, yet provides long-lasting curls. I like that it doesn’t look “wet” for the first couple of days after washing, like some other products, and that it can be refreshed with water, without going frizzy. I follow it up with chutzpah. This gel is fabulous! Strong peppermint scent going on, which disappears once the hair is dry. Gives a great cast, which can be challenging to break. But the results! I can get up to 4 days with minimal to no refresh! Loving this gel. This trial size gave me plenty of product to have multiple wash days.

All of our bottles are made from recyclable materials that can be taken to your local Recycling Depot or placed in your Yellow Bin.


Simply rinse out the bottles to remove as much of the product as possible and replace the lid.  Then, simply wait for bin night - easy!


800ml & 90ml Pouches

Finished your pouch and ready to recycle?  Take your empty pouches and place them into a TerraCycle® bin at any local MECCA store.

POW strong hold gel

I have fine but very frizzy curly hair, so I need something to control and define my curls without weighing them down. This gel works but you only need a tiny amount, it has good slip and clumps curls well. My curls last for a couple days. I'm happy with the product and will try more lohy products.

POW never disappoints and always gives me the curl definition I look for and no frizz. It is also great teamed with Oomph. It is one of my favourites.

Love the product (and the refill option!)

I've steered clear of curl gels in the past because of the dreaded crunch, and heavy products weigh down my fine hair. This stuff is incredible. Creates lasting curl hold and if there is any casting, its a much softer crunch that I can soften with some extra scrunching or a little hair oil.

No more frizz!

I use this gel over top of another brand of gel. You don’t need much and it keeps my waves in great shape. Finally I have minimal frizz if any. Hopefully this will continue.
